Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf has confirmed that he suffered an eye injury on the sets of the sequel of his hit film 'Transformers', which almost cost him his sight.

Rumours were rife that the actor was injured during a controlled explosion on the sets last summer but the actor revealed that he was hit by shrapnel, reports express.co.uk.

'We were in the middle of some chaos and I mistimed something and impaled my face on a spike. I came up and I had a spike in my eye and I had blood coming down my face and it was the dark, dark purplish kind...If it had been reddish and clear, it would mean my eye (had) popped,' he said.

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is eyeing a career change. She is reportedly planning to swap her life as a movie star for politics.

The 'Tomb Raider' star is a goodwill ambassador for the UN and spends much of her time championing the rights of refugees and dedicating herself to philanthropic activities.

She is now reportedly planning to quit acting so she can concentrate full time on her political ambitions, reports the Daily Express.

'(She) has admitted she's getting bored with Hollywood. She said she's now got her sights set on Washington. She is passionate about people's rights, war and justice and thinks she can get more hands-on and make even more of a difference by getting into politics,' said a source.

'She admires (US President Barack) Obama and thinks she could make a big difference if she were in his position. I would place a huge wager on her becoming the first female president in the next 20 years. She's very determined,' the source added.

Pop singer Jennifer Lopez looked bored watching a baseball game with her husband Marc Anthony in New York.

The couple went to watch the game, but she could not maintain her interest, reports dailymail.co.uk. Dressed in casual wear, Lopez had her hair in a ponytail. But she seemed to be more keen on getting comfortable with her husband than watching the game.

There have been rumours that the two are having some marital problems but their latest display of affection might put a few of those rumours to rest.

The couple is said to be planning to have more children. They already have twins who were born 16 months ago.

Paris Hilton was very disturbed after her security personnel found hidden recording equipment during a routine check of her Dubai hotel room.

Imdb.com reports that the socialite is in the Arab nation for her reality show 'My New Best Friend Forever'.

But the star's trip turned sour after her bodyguards discovered she could have been filmed throughout her stay at an exclusive Dubai resort when they stumbled across a secret video transmitter.

'It was some sort of transmitter by all accounts. We're not sure what the device picked up or whom it was transmitting to. But it did leave Paris very jittery. Everyone she has come into contact with during her stay in Dubai has been gracious. We've been told there are some quarters where there is anti-American feeling,' a source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper.

'Paris' security has been increased and hotel staff are investigating how the device came to be in her room,' added the source

Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey is urging James Bond bosses to consider him for a role in the next installment of the franchise because he has always dreamt of playing a villain opposite the super spy.

The 'American Beauty' star, who played legendary comic book villain Lex Luthor in 2006 'Superman Returns', has set his sights on a role opposite British actor Daniel Craig in the follow-up to last year hit 'Quantum of Solace', reports variety.com.

Spacey insists playing an arch enemy of the suave secret agent is high on his list of his priorities.

'I would love to play the villain in Bond, but they haven't called yet,' he said.

A sex tape starring American drama TV series 'Gossip Girl' actress Leighton Meester has sparked a bidding war on the Internet, touching the $1 million mark.

Hollywood.com reports that Kevin Blatt, the dealer behind socialite heriess Paris Hilton's sex tapes, has said he is surprised by the level of interest in the footage, as the bids for the Meester video have exceeded $1 million.

Blatt also revealed that the footage features a younger Meester performing a striptease for a boyfriend.

'It's very playful, actually. It's not shot in high definition and looks like it has been shot using a video camera while they are both fooling around,' said Blatt.

They topped the Power Couple list and now the talented beautiful Angelina Jolie is the most powerful celebrity in the world. Jolie's 27 million dollars earnings in the past year included a 14 million dollars magazine deal for exclusive rights to the first pictures of the couple's twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, who were born in August.

An extensive investigation into James Bond's love life suggests that he prefers brunettes to blondes. Researchers behind the study say that apart from having long dark hair, an ideal Bond girl is likely to have an American accent and carry a weapon. They came to this conclusion after assessing the physical traits of all 195 female characters in the first 20 Bond movies, and then differentiating the characteristics of the 98 who had "sexual contact" with Bond with those of the 97 who did not.

The second Academy Award nomination for 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button', his relationship with partner Angelina Jolie, the birth of the twin babies - if this could not keep Brad Pitt in the limelight, what else could? But the fact remains that like Jolie, he tries to divert media attention for all the humanitarian work he does.

Will Smith is perhaps one of those bankable stars Hollywood has for an international release. His movies are box office hits and have helped this star pocket $45 million.
