19 Steps

A.R. Rahman on board 19 Steps?

A.R. Rahman is hot property indeed, and everyone wants a piece of him! After his sweeping victory in Hollywood with his tracks and background score for Slumdog Millionaire, just about everybody wants the Mozart of Madras to score music for them.

Joining that long list of applicants is the offer from Japanese music composer Joe Hisaishi to join him in composing music for the lastest Indo-Jap venture 19 Steps.

The movie already has Indian legend Kamal Haasan on board, and now another is likely to get on board. It is said that Rahman, director Bharat Bala and Disney reps met Joe Hisaishi in Tokyo on April 6 to discuss the film.

Joe has supposedly shown a keen interest to work with Rahman, and it was in fact the prospect of working with him that lured Joe into the venture!
